Who we are
MiCP.ai is operated by The Lipsey Company, doing business as MiCP.ai (“we,” “us,” “our”).
This policy explains what personal information we collect through micp.ai, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Our office is at 150 Cranes Roost Blvd, Suite 2230, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, and you can reach us at (407) 774-2558.
Information we collect
Information you give us when you register
When you register for a MiCP.ai program, our checkout asks for your email address, your first and last name, and your billing address: country, street address (plus an apartment or suite if you add one), city, state, and ZIP code. Your phone number is optional.
If you register other people, for example colleagues in an Office Team registration, you give us their names and email addresses. Please register others only with their permission, and let them know about this policy.
You do not need to create an account to register.
Payment information
Card payments are processed by Authorize.Net. When you enter your card details at checkout, they are sent from your browser directly to Authorize.Net through Authorize.Net’s own secure payment script. Our website receives a one-time payment token and limited card details, such as the last four digits of your card. It does not receive your full card number. This website does not offer to save your card for future purchases. Authorize.Net handles your card information under its own privacy policy.
Information you share by phone
If you contact us by phone, we use what you share to respond and, if you register, to process your registration.
Content you submit
If you submit content, such as a product review, we collect what you enter, which may include your name and email address. Your name and content may be displayed publicly.
Information collected automatically
When you visit micp.ai, some information is collected automatically:
Cookies and similar technologies. Our site uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. They keep track of what is in your cart during checkout, record how you arrived at the site (see “How people find us” below), and help protect the site from automated abuse. Details are in “Cookies and your choices” below.
How people find us. Our store software (WooCommerce) records how a visit began: the website that referred you, any campaign tags included in the link you followed, the page you entered on, when the visit started, how many pages you viewed, and your browser and device type. If you complete a registration, this information may be saved with your order so we can understand which channels bring people to the program.
Technical and security information. Our website host, WP Engine, and its network provider, Cloudflare, receive technical information whenever a browser requests a page. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. They use it to deliver the site, keep it secure, and tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.
Fonts. Our pages use fonts provided by Google Fonts. When your browser loads these fonts, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- process your registration and payment;
- send you your order confirmation, session access links, and updates about the program you registered for;
- deliver the live sessions;
- award the MiCP.ai designation and keep records of program participation and designations awarded;
- answer your questions;
- understand how people find the program so we can improve how we reach them;
- keep the website secure and prevent fraud; and
- meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations and enforce our Registration Terms.
We may use your contact information to send you information about our programs and services; you can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
How we share information
We share personal information only as described here.
Service providers. We use service providers to help us operate the website, deliver our programs, send email, and keep our records. They include WP Engine (website hosting), Cloudflare (website delivery and security), Authorize.Net (payment processing), Google (website fonts), and third-party services that help us deliver live online sessions. We share personal information with our service providers only as needed for them to provide services to us.
Program partners and instructors. Program partners and instructors who help deliver the program receive the information they need to do so.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or when we believe it is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our program participants, or others.
Business changes. If The Lipsey Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of its business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With your permission. We may share information for other purposes when you ask us to or agree to it.
We do not sell personal information collected through this website, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and your choices
The cookies and browser storage currently used on micp.ai fall into three groups:
- Cart and checkout. WooCommerce uses cookies (named beginning with woocommerce_ and wp_woocommerce_session_) and browser storage to remember what is in your cart and complete your registration. The wp_woocommerce_session_ cookie lasts up to 48 hours, and the woocommerce_ cookies end when you close your browser. The browser storage has no set expiration, so it can stay in your browser after you close it; clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it.
- How people find us. WooCommerce’s order attribution feature uses short-lived first-party cookies (named beginning with sbjs_) to record how your visit began, as described above. These cookies do not store your IP address.
- Security. Cloudflare sets a cookie (__cf_bm) that lasts about 30 minutes and helps tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.
In addition, when you submit content, such as a product review, WordPress may set cookies to remember details you choose to save.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block cookies, the cart and checkout may not work.
We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics services that track you across other websites. Because of this, our site does not change how it works in response to “Do Not Track” signals from your browser.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, and as needed to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information. Information you submit through our website is encrypted in transit. No website, internet transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information.
Children
MiCP.ai is a professional program for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and requests
You may ask us to give you access to, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us by phone or by mail using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We may keep some information when the law requires it, for example records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
Depending on where you live, the privacy laws of your state may give you additional rights. We will respond to requests as those laws require.
Links to other websites
MiCP.ai links to other websites, including LinkedIn, CRE OneSource, and The Lipsey Company’s own website. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
